Montessori Early Childhood Course

The Childhood Course offers a comprehensive study of Early Childhood Montessori Education (ages 3–6). Through lectures, small group collaboration, material and manual making, and classroom observations, adult learners gain both practical skills and a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice. Practicum Phase

Practicum, also known as student teaching or internship, is a required component of our program. During the Practicum, the Adult Learner spends nine consecutive months (August 2026-May 2027), with a minimum of five days per week and three hours per day working in a classroom to gain hands-on experience. The Adult Learner coordinates this arrangement, which must adhere to the requirements and standards set by the American Montessori Society and the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education.

During the practicum, the adult learner must attend two online seminars—one in the fall and one in the spring. Each seminar is a two-day session, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is held entirely online for the convenience of adult learners.
